All works (including writing, paintings, sketches and photographs) are ©Aino A. Järvinen 2015 and  may not be used in any way without permission. Failure to respect the artist and the law  will result in you mysteriously disappearing in Aino's next novel at the hands of a terrifying creature of her choosing.  Consider thyself warned.

Aino spent her childhood summers hunting for new and exciting books in the Barnes & Noble where her father worked. That may also be where her coffee addiction began, but we may never know.

Aino considers herself a self-taught writer, experimenting with  variations of archetypes and writing styles. She is influenced by mythology, folklore and fairy tales. The people in her head sometimes toss around ideas as well.

While Aino enjoys writing poetry, and sometimes sketches or paints, her main focus is fiction novels. She considers her genre as modern Gothic fairy tales.

Her favorite authors include Hans Christian Andersen, Neil Gaiman, Janet Fitch, Joe Hill, Anne Rice, H.P. Lovecraft, Chelsea Cain, Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. She is often inspired by the art of Edward Gorey, Austin Osman Spare and Harry Clarke.

Aino is currently seeking literary representation.
